Humble Lion Football Club received a boost towards their pursuit of the Red Stripe Premier League (RSPL) title last Sunday as Tastee Limited made a donation of $200,000 towards the Clarendon-based football club.

This took place during half time of the RSPL showdown between Humble Lion and Harbour View Football Club, which ended in a 0-0 scoreline.

Ryan Foster, Group CEO of Tastee Limited, stated that the company decided to sponsor the club as it sees sports development as a critical element that will contribute towards the growth of the country.

"Tastee Limited intends to reaffirm the value of sports as an institution for socio-economic change, we are proud to be associated with this club and will continue to show our commitment as we help them to pave the way forward," Foster said.

"Tastee Limited continues to give back to Jamaica as we aim to ensure our actions are both holistic and outcome-based. Institutions such as the Humble Lion Football Club play a critical role in the development of any country and we will continue to align ourselves with organisations that are on the same path as us," he added.

Since the start of 2017, Tastee Limited put pen to paper in similar instances as hefty donations were also made to the Cavalier Football Club and Waterhouse Football Club.
