The 2016 Intercollegiate Knockout Football champions, G.C. Foster College, are looking to defend their title when they face off with rivals Shortwood Teachers' College when they meet in the 2017 final today at Constant Spring Football Field.

The defending champs are heading into the final confident after a dominant 3-0 victory over College of Agriculture, Science and Education to advance from the semi-finals.

The Premier League trio of Osani Ricketts from Portmore United, Humble Lion's Rohan Richards and midfielder Akeem Henry of Tivoli Gardens have been leading the charge for G.C. Foster this season.

Only Henry of the vital trio, however, will be in the final as Ricketts and Richards will be absent due to Premier League engagements.

Shortwood Teachers' College, who are in their first knockout final, will be seeking to take advantage of G.C. Foster losing their key players for the final.

The team, which advanced to the final by edging the University of Technology, Jamaica 5-3 on penalties, will be relying on Ludane Dixon and Jovan McFarquhar, who have been critical to their success this season.

In the Division Two final, 2015 champions Portmore Community College will be looking to become champions again, but will have to get past Caribbean Maritime University who will also be contesting the final for the first time.

The Division Two final will take centre stage at 3 p.m., with the knockout final following at 5 p.m.
