Arnett back on top

Defending champions Arnett Gardens regained the lead in the 2017-18 Red Stripe Premier League (RSPL) following an emphatic 3-0 victory over Montego Bay United on Thursday night at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex.
  Arnett moved to 33 points,  two clear of overnight leaders Portmore United. Montego Bay United dropped one place to ninth with 16 points.

Fabian Reid was on target twice for Arnett with strikes in the 21st and 63rd minutes. Steve Clarke completed the scoring in the 66th. Reid joined UWI FC's Ryan Miller as the RSPL's two leading marksmen. Both have nine goals.

 At Frome, home team Reno were held to a 2-2 draw by Sandals South Coast. Craig Foster (24th) and Michael McLeod (28th) were the scorers for Reno while Sandals got their goals from Dwayne Blake (27th) and Ron Daley (59th).

Reno are sixth on 22 points while Sandals remain second from bottom in the 12-team league with 10.
