The Sagicor Sigma Corporate 5K Fun Run, which is designed to inspire fun, fitness, and camaraderie among Jamaica's business community, is on today and will start at 7:30 a.m. at Emancipation Park in New Kingston.

Organisers hope to raise more than $50 million from this year's run to assist the Spanish Town Hospital Neonatal Unit and the St Christopher's School for the Deaf, the oldest residential institution for the deaf in the English-speaking Caribbean. The neonatal unit provides life-saving care for babies born ill or prematurely.

Walkers, joggers, and competitive runners from more than 200 companies will participate in what has become an annual tradition.

The three patrons for this year's run are Miss Jamaica Universe Davina Bennett; sprint star Usain Bolt; and Patrice White, fitness coach and chief executive officer of Dynamic Lifestyle.
