The Jamaican pair of Britany Anderson and Amoi Brown both comfortably qualified to the women's 100m hurdles semi-final, after easy wins at the IAAF World Under 20 Championships in Tampere, Finland on Friday.

Anderson led her heat from start to finish, clocking a relaxed 13.37, to win ahead of Canada's Kendra Leger, 13.59 and Italy's Desola Oki, 13.94.

National champion Amoi Brown, was just as easy, taking control of her race from the early stages and easing through to win in 13.49 ahead of Brazil's Micaela De Mello, 13.68 and China's Yuwei Lin, 13.92.

The Jamaicans will be looking to emulate their compatriots Damion Thomas and Orlando Bennett, who finished first and second in the men's 110m hurdles final on Thursday.
