Rising Sun looking to shine in Florida

HAVING won the 7-8 advanced division last year, Jamaica's Lee-Michael Henry will today attempt to add the 9-10 black-belt title to his fight rÈsumÈ, one of the feature events of the Bring It Fight Championship Belt Challenge at the Homestead International Tournament in Miami, Florida.

Henry is among eight competitors from Rising Sun Karate Academy travelling with coach Kyoshi Heather Campbell to the annual tournament at which Jamaica won 49 trophies last year.

Another Jamaican Rising Sun junior black belt expected to feature prominently is Alessandro Doshi, who will compete in the 11-12 division. Both junior black belts will compete in sparring, weapons and forms.

Completing the line-up of juniors are Teron Cole, 11-12 advanced; Cameron Thomas, 7-8 beginner; Joshua Kettle, 8-9 beginner; Kyelle Anglin, 8-9 beginner; Khain Henry,7-8 advanced; and Russell English, 13-14 advanced.
