Melbourne CC praises Foska Oats for continued partnership
President of Melbourne Cricket Club Mark Neita has expressed delight after Foska Oats' renewed sponsorship of $1 million to the club's youth academy.
"We could not do cricket without Foska Oats and their contribution," said Neita.
"They have invested $1 million in our cricket camp, in our cricket academy and sponsorship of our cricket programmes," he said.
"I think as a result of that, we have been able to produce a significant number of players who have represented Jamaica from the Under-15, Under-17, Under-19, and senior levels," Neita said.
He added that the sponsorship would go a far way in helping to develop many of the nation's young cricketers.
"Cricket can't be played without sponsorship, and Foska Oats, I think, is just amazing with how they have stepped up and provided us with the support. I think providing Melbourne with this kind of support, by extension, they are supporting Jamaica's cricket," he said.
Christopher Ramson, director of operations of Chas E. Ramson, distributors of Foska Oats, said that he is committed to helping with the development of the sport.
"We got the offer from Mark Neita to partner with Melbourne a few years ago, and we figure that it was a great partnership to develop youth cricket," said Ramson.
"Nutrition is a very important part for athletes, and Foska Oats gives the level of energy to consistently release carbohydrates to allow our athletes to perform," he said.
