Western Bureau:It is commonly said that, 'seeing is believing', and based on the feedback from those persons who have visited the Chill Out Hut, the new entertainment hangout in the Trelawny/St James area, there is nothing but high praise for the somewhat unique attraction.

"From its fine food to complementary ambience that just sets your heart aflutter and makes you think of the goodness and beauty of nature, the Chill Out Hut is a one-of-a-kind place - a veritable gem in the crown of jewels that adorns the shores of Jamaica," said businessman Warren Johnson, one of the driving forces behind the establishment.

Located a mere ten minutes from the Sangster International Airport by road, Chill Out Hut, which is nestled close to sea in Greenwood (on the border of Trelawny and St James) is an open invitation to fun and frolic.

cosiness

On entering Chill Out Hut, one is immediately taken aback by the cosiness of the place. Trees and plants adorn the ample parking lot, as well as the beach of fine powdered white sand.

The main bar and hut are inviting, rustic and well-suited for the environment. Smaller huts are neatly scattered about on the beach with seating capacity of four, each one tastefully lit and with speakers playing piped music of the most relaxing and entertaining kind.

"The gazebo is a grand structure of beauty, suitable for weddings and various functions that we are more than capable of catering for," said Johnson. "Our aim is to address as many needs as possible."

The venue has been getting rave reviews for its picnic benches and cabanas, which complement the scenery that is further enhanced by a jetty extending out into the Caribbean Sea, making it arguably the cosiest hot spot outside of Montego Bay's Hip Strip and Elegant Corridor.

In terms of its entertainment offering, its stellar attractions are as follows: Groovin' Sunday's Vintage party, Karaoke Challenge on Mondays, and live band on stage on Fridays and Saturdays.

"At the Chill Out Hut, you can do much or nothing at all ... . This hut was made by people who appreciate that a body, at times, needs to just Chill Out," said Johnson.
