What are your views on the plan to reopen Ulster Spring Hospital?
"It is a sentiment that captures the imagination of most southern Trelawny residents who know the hospital when it was in operation prior to closure in the 1980s. Persons aspiring for political office have learned that spouting plans to reopen the Ulster Spring Hospital is a good trump card. Other than that, it is a pipe dream."
"The community has not been the same since they reduce the hospital to a clinic, so any move to open it is welcome. I personally am happy that I will soon be able to get medical attention without travelling so far."
Rev Dr Sonia Seivwright
"I am happy for the residents, because, as ministers of religion, we hear the complaints and the horror stories of mothers giving birth en route to Falmouth or Spaldings hospitals. So this will help to reduce travel costs for many, especially in these harsh economical times."
