"Not much can be done in Falmouth right now because the new craft market has not been built. The craft area, where vending takes place now, should be cleaned up. However, what the parish council, together with the crafts people, can do is to create a brochure to advertise the products at the pier and on the cruise ships so tourists are aware of what is available here. Tourists like to see artisans at work ... (who) they can take photos with and so forth. It would be better if we had an artisan village that would create a major product that can attract tourists. We need an artisan village instead of what we have now, which is a vendors village. Vendors also need to step up their game. Too many of them are selling the same things, including craft imported from China and other places."

"Regular customer-service training of the craft vendors must be done, because one of the main problems transport operators have at some of the craft markets is harassment. They also need to get away from the imported craft items."
