ST LOUIS (AP):

Among the thousands of people who have turned out for Michael Brown's funeral are several civil rights leaders and celebrities.




Brown was shot and killed on August 9 by a Ferguson police officer.



His funeral was held today at Friendly Missionary Baptist Church in St Louis.



The Rev Al Sharpton is among those scheduled to speak at the funeral.



The Rev Jesse Jackson was in attendance, along with entertainer Sean Combs and movie maker Spike Lee.



Several politicians were there too, including US Representative William Lacy Clay.
