Members of a 15-nation Caribbean trade bloc are travelling to Cuba for a summit to discuss financial assistance and economic agreements.

Caricom said in a statement yesterday that officials will meet with President Ra?l Castro about a Cuban aid programme that has awarded academic scholarships to hundreds of students from the Caribbean.

Climate-change discussions also are on the agenda for the one-day meeting that begins tomorrow.

Up to late yesterday there was no word on who will represent Jamaica.
