Oregon child molester gets 75-year sentence
OREGON CITY (AP):
A 53-year-old Oregon man who sexually abused two young sisters has been sentenced to 75 years in prison.
The Oregonian reports that Clackamas County Circuit Judge Susie Norby sentenced Robin Jay Farris on Monday.
Prosecutor Bill Golden says the man began molesting the daughters of a friend in 2005 when they were six and three.
After a December trial, the judge found Farris guilty of multiple counts of first-degree rape, first-degree sodomy, first-degree sexual abuse and first-degree unlawful sexual penetration.
Norby says, after careful deliberation, she agreed with the prosecutor's recommendation of 75 years.
