PROVIDENCIALES, Turks & Caicos (AP):

Authorities in the Turks & Caicos Islands said they have detained 115 Haitian migrants aboard a boat.

The government said in a statement yesterday that the 97 men, 18 women and three children will be deported soon.

The Turks & Caicos Islands are located between Haiti and the Bahamas and have long been a destination and smuggling route for Haitian migrants.
