GEORGE TOWN, (AP):

The government says it has a total of 26 confirmed cases of the mosquito-borne virus, including 17 contracted locally. Officials said Wednesday that the cases have been reported in the capital, George Town.

The British Caribbean territory reported its first local Zika transmission in August.
