Uber seeking ride into a rare state without it: Wyoming
CHEYENNE, WY (AP):
The ride-sharing service Uber is looking to begin service in Wyoming, one of the few states where it is not yet doing business.
Wyoming law will need to be changed before ride-sharing services may operate in the state. State lawmakers say they are drafting legislation.
Uber users arrange rides using a smartphone app that charges the ride to their credit card. Brian Gebhardt of Uber said once state law allows ride-sharing, the company could begin operating in Wyoming quickly.
