On behalf of the Government of Ontario, I am delighted to extend warm greetings to everyone marking Black History Month. Black History Month offers Ontarians from all backgrounds the opportunity to learn more about the outstanding social, cultural and economic contributions Black Canadians have made to our province, and to society as a whole. This month of recognition is an ideal occasion to pay tribute to the many Black Canadians who have helped to define and distinguish Ontario, and to take pride in the community’s many achievements. May this also be a time to reflect on the human experience and the aspirations that we all share — and to recognise the inclusive society we have built together. Please accept my sincere best wishes for a memorable and inspiring Black History Month. Dalton McGuinty Premier of Ontario
