New airline offers daily flights between Nevis and Antigua

Published: Friday May 18, 2012 | 9:45 am Comments 0

CHARLESTOWN, CMC:

Premier Joseph Parry says he welcomes the decision of the Montserrat-based airline, Fly Montserrat” to expand its operations by including daily flights between Nevis and Antigua.

“I am happy to say that the route lcenses have been granted, and the new service will begin on the fourth of June,” said Parry, who is also the island’s Minister of Tourism.

Tourism Advisor in the Nevis Island Administration, Alastair Sherwood welcomed the new airline, adding it is a great addition to the Nevis travel industry and the flight times are excellent for North America and European travel to and from Nevis.

“The morning flight allows easy connections to other islands through Antigua, and the afternoon flight from Antigua to Nevis at 5.15pm allows for connecting passengers off British Airways and Virgin from London, off American Airlines from Miami and New York and off Air Canada from Toronto to get to Nevis the same afternoon,” said Yearwood said.
