Senior Chinese official to visit Grenada, Dominica

The vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), Chen Changzhi, is due here as part of a visit to the United States and the Caribbean.

The Chinese news agency, Xinhua said Changzhi whose committee is part of China's top legislature, will also visit Dominica during his three-nation 'goodwill visit ' that began on Wednesday.

The news agency said that Chen was invited to the respective countries by the US Congress, the House of Assembly of Dominica and the Parliament of Grenada. However it did not specify the dates on which he would be visiting the two Caribbean islands.
