Inter-Guianas festival slated for August 20

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, CMC:
Guyana will host the Inter-Guianas Cultural Festival later this month.
Head of the Presidential Secretariat Dr. Roger Luncheon said the event will take place from August 20-25 and will showcase visual, literary, performing, culinary arts and fashion from French Guiana, Suriname and the host country.
The inaugural Inter- Guianas Cultural Festival was held in Paramaribo last year and officials here said that the festival is aimed at fostering closer relations among the countries as well as to provide artistes with an opportunity to discuss techniques and motivation.
