Student shot and killed

CASTRIES, St. Lucia, CMC:
Police were searching for those involved in the murder of a 16-year-old student who was shot over the weekend. Another 16-year-old student is reported to be in a critical condition at hospital.


Police said that Kevin Constantine, a student of the George Charles Secondary School was shot dead on Saturday night and his friend, Kyle Samuel is battling for his life at hospital following the shooting at Maynard Hill on the outskirts of the capital.

Residents in the area said that incident appeared to have been gang related and the St. Lucia News Online quotes unidentified residents as saying that police are aware of who are the instigators.
