PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, CMC:
Police confirmed that a 32-year-old woman, who attempted to avoid being arrested for narcotics possession, died after swallowing an unknown quantity of cocaine while law enforcement officials were raiding her home in Central Trinidad on Thursday.

Police said the house was heavily burglar proofed and while attempting to break through the burglar proofing they heard the toilet being flushed several times.

The police said when they finally managed to gain entrance into the house they found the woman had collapsed and complaining of feeling ill. She was taken to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex where she died.
