National Minister issues warning to arsonists

Security Minister Dr. Errol Cort says he is ‘alarmed’ that arsonists would target educational institutions on the island after fire destroyed part of the Antigua Grammar School.
“Who would want to deny the young boys and girls of this country an opportunity for an education and opportunity to excel themselves in life?,” Cord said , indicating that he was sending a message to those people that we will not allow that to happen in Antigua and Barbuda.
“I therefore call once again on our police force to assist the private security guards who have the mandate to guard these school premises and provide additional protection and surveillance and security to this land so that we can apprehend those who are bent on disrupting education in the country”.
