ST. GEORGE’S, Grenada, CMC – An 18-year-old youth is dead and his 20-year-old brother hospitalised following an incident at sea on Thursday, Grenada police have confirmed.

They said that Glenroy Gilbert died and that his brother Glenson Gilbert has been hospitalised after they “encountered a sudden change in the tide” while on a fishing expedition at the Petite Bacaye beach.

The police said an unidentified 14 year-old, who was part of the fishing expedition, rescued Glenson and was able to swim safety to shore.

They said the body of the 18-year-old was a few hours after the incident and that a postmortem will be done Friday to determine the actual cause of death.
