A real handful

SMILING CUTE: Candice (left) and Catherine Lewis.

TWINS normally look alike and have similar attributes, right?

Wrong! That isn't the case for Catherine and Candice Lewis.

According to the their mother Joy Barrett, the only thing these two girls have in common, is that they both give a lot of trouble. Apart from that she says 'they are like a cat and dog'.

"Catherine is very argumentative, she is pertinent, asks a lot of questions and always has to be given a reason," Barrett told THE WEEKEND STAR while looking at her seven-year-old daughters. "Candice now, she is more lovey dovey, she's like a baby and she likes her lessons."

She said most of the times the girls are in disagreement and at each other's throat, fussing and fighting. However when it comes to giving trouble, she says, they operate together.

Candice and Catherine attend the Naggo Head Primary school. They want to do singing and dancing.

Barrett said she was never really expecting to have twins and she only found out about it when she was in the eighth month of her pregnancy.

"I was feeling lousy and tired, unlike when I first got pregnant," she revealed. "I suggested that he (the doctor) do an ultra sound and he did it and confirmed it was a twin, I was a bit surprised."

She said this did not scare her and she went through the rest of her pregnancy fairly easy. "The only thing is they were born an hour and ten minutes apart, two different pains, but everything went okay," she said.

Barrett said there are many other twins in her family. "My brother has twin daughters, and I also have twin cousins," she revealed.

She said she wouldn't mind having another set of twin as it makes her feel special. "Its a little difficult feeding them but its okay," she said.

The twin however say they don't want their mother to have another set. They say that would be too much trouble for her.
