AS Baby Cham prepares to launch his first album, 'Wow', the hot deejay has a free fan appreciation kiddies concert scheduled for this Saturday at Mas Camp, Oxford Road.
Cham's manager, Brenda Hamilton, said the concert is mainly for kids aged 12 to 16. Admission for children and any accompanying parent is free.
"There will be an autograph signing session and he will be meeting fans amidst a lot of give-aways," said Hamilton. "That segment will be hosted by Professor Nuts before we move into the concert."
Teenagers are the major target group and as such, Hamilton said the programme was planned with them in mind.
The concert will begin at 8:00 pm with Baby Cham, Bounty Killer, Chico, Frsico Kid, Frankie Sly, Mr. Easy and Alley Cat.
"Because we are catering for the kids, the acts will be through at 10:00 pm. sharp but the adults can stay and enjoy the music," Hamilton added. "We are also asking the parents to accompany the children."
The first 2,500 children at the venue will receive back-to-school packages and the first 3,000 patrons will each get a free soft drink.
"There will be no alcoholic beverage being served," Hamilton said.
Cham's 'Wow', consisting of two CDs, will be sold at cost price during the concert. T-shirts and posters will also be on sale.
"We need to show appreciation to the fans who have supported him from day one," said Hamilton. "That's our reason for putting on this concert."
