Hamilton should review his proposal

THE EDITOR, Madam:

Mr. Howard Hamilton QC's explanation in your paper yesterday clears a lot of the fog which has been generated by his proposal for inner-city renewal, but I would like to ask him some questions.

1) Did he do any or proper feasibility studies for his proposal before his speech?

2) Did he discuss his proposal with any of the named high-level businessman before going public?

3) Was his speech off-the-cuff or was it intended to embarrass the PSOJ leaders?

4) Does he not know after all his years of experience that his project would be difficult to sell and would first need the support of an influential group of Private Sector leaders before he made his grand proposal?

I am sure Mr. Hamilton meant well, and I am now recommending that he retrace his steps and complete steps one and two above.
