Clarendon face Black River

WESTERN BUREAU: CLARENDON College will meet Black River High in one rescheduled Pepsi Sports Plus daCosta Cup Inter-Zone Group Four game at the Black River Community Centre, starting at 3:30 p.m. today.

Clarendon College are bidding to join the four teams which have already guaranteed their places in the quarterfinals after Saturday's third and final set of matches in the Inter-Zone round.

The teams already through are Cornwall College in Group One, Frome Technical in Group Two, Holmwood Technical in Group Three and Dinthill Technical in Group Five.

The winners of each of the six groups plus the best two second placed teams will advance to the quarterfinals which start this Saturday.

Clarendon will start favorites after they led Black River 4-0 in their first game that was stopped because of heavy rains. The Jackie Walters coached team won their first game on Saturday edging Spalding 1-0 at Woodside.

The Inter-Zone round will be completed on Wednesday with two more rescheduled games, Clarendon will meet Denbigh at Woodside and Garvey Maceo and Seaforth will meet in a Group Six game at Alcoa.
