No excuse for sin

THE EDITOR, Madam:

THERE IS no excuse for sin, for example, homosexuality. Just imagine, a person is found stealing from the company that he works with, but pleaded "not guilty" on the grounds that he is a kleptomaniac. Now others started to follow in his footsteps in various companies, so much so, that different companies have become bankrupt, and they all pleaded "not guilty" on the grounds they are kleptomaniac.

Well, should not the government then decriminalise stealing, since these people claim to have an irresistible tendency to steal? Why not? Does this line of reason excuse any wrong at all? Absolutely no! Well, then why should homosexuals have the excuse that this is how they were born, so they can't help it

I am, etc.,
