Corporal Lee of the Passport Office

THE EDITOR, Madam:

I TAKE this opportunity to applaud a good cop at the Passport Office on Spanish Town Road.

Corporal Lee who works on the upper floor, displays integrity, calmness, social attributes and is well-liked among those who go through the process of applying for a new passport. No matter how the tides of stress wave over this elderly policeman, he handles his job with steering professionalism.

All who come in contact with Corporal Lee at the Passport Office appreciate him.

The way he speaks with the public is exemplary. The police on the ground floor should emulate the excellent attributes of Corporal Lee.

I believe such a senior man of intelligence and good rapport with the public should be promoted to the rank of Inspector. I would also ask the promotion board of the Constabulary, how one earns a promotion? A Corporal rank for this senior and hardworking policeman does not seem right or proper.

Hats off to this 'Passport Cop'.

I am, etc.,

DELROY R. LAWRENCE
