NATIONAL A League frontrunners Galaxy United (23 points) and Village United (22) are fancied to take another giant step towards qualifying for the first round final but Black Stars (21), Rivoli United (18) and Duhaney Park (18) look set to make a fight of it in this afternoon's penultimate set of matches.
Galaxy United, who kept their one-point lead at the weekend with a 2-1 win over Violet Kickers, travel to Up Park Camp for an easy assignment against second-from-bottom Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) while Village United face home team Brazil, who are fifth from the bottom.
Galaxy United and Village could advance to the final this afternoon if both teams are victorious and Black Stars, who travel to Maverley, fail to take maximum points from the home team.
Village United's technical director Marvin Tate is confident his team will advance to the final.
"Team effort and discipline have been the hallmarks of Village all season and come Wednesday, it should be the same. We intend to get maximum points and book a place in the first round final," Tate said.
But while Tate is confident, there's a different mood in the camp of Brazil. Coach Joseph Harrison said: "I don't know who will show. There is a lack of commitment on the part of the players but if they turn up in a positive mood they can win."
Galaxy should pack too much power for the army men whose only victory from 10 games came against third-from-the-bottom St. Georges on November 16.
