Shower lyrics

THOUGHT you were weird when you sang in the shower? Well guess what a number of persons have been doing it. As a matter of fact, even popular entertainers do it and according to them they started some of the popular songs while having a bath.

Deejay Alozade and singers Marcia Griffiths, Mickey Mystic, Devonte and George Nooks said they have used the shower to motivate their thoughts.

"It is not unusual to make songs under the shower. I remember making a particular song which I included in my album "Naturally." It was not my choice. Those lyrics just came to me."

She explained that normally when the water tingles her body lyrics flow from her lips.

The singer who became popular while singing with the I Threes said the following lines were formatted while in the shower.

"Take a look at the earth and see the wonders of her function

Peep into her depths and see the wonders of the products"

The habit of making lyrics under the shower started for Alozade as a teenager.

"I would stay under the shower for a long time, trying to get the punchline and then everything else was so easy," the deejay said.

In an attempt to explain why so many of his songs are created in the shower Micky Mystic said: "Being under the shower is like being in the rain. It's an inspiration which encourages quick thoughts. I started making lyrics under the shower when I was only a youth."

The singer pointed out one of his songs Make Your Mind as one case.

Once a song begins under the shower it's likely it be completed. At least that is what George Nooks says.

The singer says he normally starts his songs while in the shower and complete them when he can get his hands on pen and paper.

"I think it is perhaps the unique sound of the water, sometimes like instruments which opens the mind to new words," Nooks said.

According to most of these artistes, others in the business need to spend more time in the shower conceptualising their lyrics and patterns.
