Dr Chung is new ACP president

DR. EDWARD Chung, Consultant Cardiologist, is the new President of the Association of Consultant Physicians (ACP). He succeeds Immediate Past President, Dr. John Hall.

A graduate of the Faculty of Medicine, University of the West Indies, and the Royal Postgraduate Medical School in London as well as several other institutions in Texas, Minnesota, USA and Israel, Dr. Chung is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians and an Associate Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

He has had a long and distinguished career in the public health sector including residences at the Spanish Town Hospital, the University Hospital of the West Indies, the National Chest Hospital and Hammer-smith Hospital, London.

Dr. Chung has authored and presented a number of papers on heart disease and related illnesses.

Now in private practice, Dr. Chung who served as Vice President of the ACP from July 1995 to 1998, will lead the 51-member delegation into the twenty-first century.
