Air J's improved service

THE EDITOR, Madam:

COMING HOME to Jamaica was a wish come true after living in Atlanta for several years. I must say the country has changed, new buildings, new plazas everywhere, but the greatest change was travelling on Air Jamaica.

When I left Jamaica several years ago I vowed I would never travel Air Jamaica as the flights were always late and the food below standard.

My family and myself left Atlanta airport on December 5. The flight left on time, but on entering the plane we noticed a big difference, the interior was so clean, and the flight attendants very pleasant and knowledgeable about Jamaica. Being away for so long, one wants to know what is happening back home and they took the time to speak with me.

On arrival in Kingston and looking around, I felt such pleasure seeing the Jamaican flag painted on the engine of the plane. Air Jamaica is indeed our national airline, and all Jamaicans should travel on their national airline, I am proud to be Jamaican, although living in a foreign land.

It is interesting to note that all these years I thought Jamaica was way behind in politics, but the recent US elections has taught us a good lesson. Jamaica is not bad, only we did not know about it.

I am etc.,
