Customs officials this morning seized five vehicles said to be stolen in the United States and shipped to Jamaica.The vehicles include a Mercedes Benz and a Pajero. Three motorcycles were also seized.

The sting operation was carried out at the Kingston Wharves by officials from the Revenue Protection Agency (RPD), a customs watchdog group. According to the RPD, the vehicles were in a container addressed to a company in the Montego Bay Free Zone under the guise that it contained appliances.

The police have been called in to take over the probe. There was no arrest.
