Letters

Short but truly inspiring life
THE EDITOR, Madam: It was only almost four years ago that the entire country of Jamaica stood as one to celebrate the overwhelming achievement of the Reggae Boyz, as they qualified for the 1998 World Cup in France.

Short-sighted Government taxation policies
THE EDITOR, Madam: It is wonderful to see that Jamaica is being forced to go in line with WTO rules concerning duties on imported goods.

What next SuperClubs?
THE EDITOR, Madam: After reading all the recent hype about Jamaica's upcoming "world's largest nude wedding", I felt compelled to write this letter. I firmly believe that SuperClubs has crossed the line and gone too far this time!

Develop a level of tolerance
THE EDITOR, Madam: Father Richard Holung's request that the Jamaican Government stop the "World's Largest Nude Wedding" at its Hedonism III is totally inappropriate.

The evils of smoking
THE EDITOR, Madam: I am writing this with a very heavy heart. I have a brother who is 39 years old and is just about to die. My brother is dying of cancer, possibly throat and lung cancer.
