A JPSCo Psalm

THE EDITOR, Madam:

AS WE are again faced with an unrealistic price increase and are struggling to come to grips with it, I feel compelled to encourage us to reflect on the words of the Psalm 23 by drawing illustration to the JPSCo Psalm which follows, hoping that we shall find some comfort there-in.

JPSCo is our master

We shall always need light

They cause us to lie down in darkness

Because some of us cannot fight

They pressure some to pay, while others take for free

Although we walk through the rooms in darkness

We shall not stumble nor fall

For JPSCo is there at our beck and call

Their conscience will bother them.

When they with-hold the power and light;

They have set a path for us

In the presence of other utility companies

They distress us with each increased rate

Until we no longer know our fate

Surely, JPSCo will not get an increase

If we all use less and save

And they will dwell in the obscurity of a wish forever

Amen!

I am, etc.,

ROSE DEWAR

Christiana P.O.
