Tribute to RM Marcia Hughes

THE EDITOR, Madam:

I WISH to express my deepest sympathy and offer my heartfelt condolence to the family of Resident Magistrate Marcia Hughes. I have received my basis for higher education at the feet of her parents John and Ena Hughes at the Enfield Primary School, Westmore-land, where Marcia and her siblings Grace and Norman were born, while their parents served the education system and the wider community with distinction.

I have been watching her performance as she gracefully ascended the steps of the Justice System and I can only say that the justice system is poorer by her loss, but is better for having her passing through its corridors. It is my prayer that the good Lord will give her family, especially her child, the strength to bear, and may her soul rest in peace and perpetual light shine on her.

I am, etc.,

Cynthia Brown

Warsop P.O.

Trelawny.
