THE Trinidad and Tobago football team will arrive here this morning at 7.55 a.m. for Wednesday's World Cup qualifying match against Jamaica's Reggae Boyz at the National Stadium.

Trinidad were scheduled to face the Cayman Islands in a practice match yesterday. They will be joined here by Manchester United forward Dwight Yorke.

Meanwhile defender reports coming out of Trinidad say that defender Kevin Austin has been ruled out of Wednesday's match.

According to yesterday's edition of the Trinidad Guardian, Austin who plays for English third division side Barnsley, suffered an achilles tendon injury during training Friday in the Cayman Islands and has returned to England.

He will have to undergo an operation and could be sidelined for up to six months, the Guardian said.

Trinidad and Tobago and Jamaica will battle Mexico, United States, Honduras, and Costa Rica in a six-team play-off over the next nine months for three CONCACAF places to the 2002 World Cup Finals in Korea and Japan.
