Motorcyclist killed in collision

A motorcyclist died from injuries he received in a head-on collision with a car on Friday along the Braeton Parkway, in St. Catherine.

Dead is Pendril Howell, a 57-year-old building contractor of Federal Drive, Sydenham Park, St. Catherine.

According to reports from the Constabulary Communi-cations Network, Mr. Howell was riding a Suzuki GS 550 motorcycle along the Braeton Parkway towards Greater Portmore at around 10:35 a.m. when he tried to overtake a motorist. The motorist was making a right turn on to Northeast 23rd Avenue, One North, when Mr. Howell's cycle collided with the vehicle. Mr. Howell and his pillion passenger sustained injuries when they were thrown from the motor cycle.

Both men were taken to the Spanish Town Hospital where the pillion rider was treated and sent home and Mr. Howell was pronounced dead.
