Wrong plaza named in kidnapping episode

THE EDITOR, Sir:

ON MONDAY March 19, 2001 an article appeared in The Gleaner written by A.C. Warner titled:' So long, Jamaica', in which the writer stated that his father with two young boys were kidnapped in Manor Park Plaza.

We would like to point out that this incident was investigated and the police confirmed that it did not occur in Manor Park Plaza but in Manor Centre.

We would appreciate if you would correct this in your next issue as we are concerned about the negative impact it could have on business in the Manor Park Plazas.

I am etc.,

OWEN STERLING
