Police seek two students after clash

A 17-YEAR-OLD Kingston College student suspected to be involved in Monday`s beating and chopping of Dunoon Technical High student, Gary Edwards, has been missing from home since the incident.

Reports are that the police went to his home on Tuesday but were told that he has not been home since Monday. It is understood that detectives probing the killing are looking for at least two teenaged students.

Edwards who represented Dunoon Technical in the Manning Cup football competition over the past two years, was attacked and chopped while standing in South Parade, downtown Kingston on Monday. He died the following morning at the Kingston Public Hospital (KPH). Students from both schools had been involved in a violent feud for several days.

Responding to questions as to whether KC had taken any disciplinary action against students reported to be involved in the fracas, the school`s principal Ivan "Wally" Johnson said the school has left the case to the police.

He said the school has been cooperating with the police and students who were reported to have been involved in the fracas have given statements to the detectives investigating the death.
