Sealy PRIME MINISTER P.J. Patterson lauded former Gleaner Editor Mr. Theodore Sealy as a man of great intellect and passion who stood like a colossus over his proven profession as a journalist.
Mr. Sealy, he said, laid the foundations and set the standards for early journalism in Jamaica and his influence on all those who worked with him was lasting and profound.
"His most precious bequest is his uncompromising integrity and some sense of fair play. It is a legacy, which those who follow in his footsteps must treasure.
The Prime Minister said Jamaica had lost a son and patriot who had served the country well.
"His was a well-played innings and I salute his memory and lasting contribution to Jamaica," he said.
