Voting technology vendor to be named soon

The company which will provide Jamaica's electronic voter-identification system, which will identify an elector by fingerprint, produce personal data and a photograph and then a ballot, will be known in the next three weeks.

Seaga sought meeting with G-G
The Jamaica Labour Party has released a series of correspondence between Opposition Leader Edward Seaga and Governor-General Sir Howard Cooke, indicating that he had been seeking a meeting to discuss the matter of the Commission of Enquiry.

Government to consider teacher re-classification
The Education Minister has noted that the Government five years ago had reclassified teachers. He said that in the next round of negotiations it would again explore the possibility.
