Charge those who finance 'mules'

THE EDITOR, Sir:

PEOPLE WHO swallow pellets of cocaine, or condoms filled with it know who gave it to them; are any of these people who are financing the 'mules' being arrested?

If someone dies, as in the case of the 10 people reported recently, one would believe that the person or persons responsible for giving the drugs to them would be charged with, maybe, murder or knowingly participating in the death of someone.

They are responsible and the law should hold them responsible with very stiff prison sentences. While no tears are shed when drug mules die or are imprisoned, governments need to act against those who set them up.

I am etc.,

DWIGHT RANKINE
