Caring and pleasant assistance

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I WISH to express my sincere gratitude for the assistance I received at the Tax Collectorate in St. Andrew from a extremely pleasant and helpful lady, Mrs. V.Maitland.

Earlier this week I went to the depot to do my driving test but could not because of the way my learner's licence was creased, the numbers in the crease had been erased. I was told I had to go through the tiresome process of obtaining a new one.

I was adamant, there must be something else I could do, so I went to the tax office. This lady whom I had never seen in my life spent almost two hours helping me find the carbon to the learner's licence, thus sparing me a lot of inconvenience. It is still comforting to know that we still have persons in Jamaica, especially in a government institution, who is so caring and pleasant.

I am etc.,
