Contempt should not go unpunished

THE EDITOR, Sir:

MRS MAXINE HENRY-WILSON the PNP General Secretary who in the past stated that in Jamaica "politics determines who gets what and how" has done it again.

Her remarks that her party is not perturbed by the public outcry over allegations of mismanagement and corruption in the Government because the average Jamaican "does not even know" about these issues is very telling.

I hope the Jamaican people and the citizens of South East St Andrew in particular, will not allow such contempt for them to go unpunished. If you, the electorate, elect Mrs Henry-Wilson and her party then you would be confirming that what she has said about your unawareness.

I am etc.,,
