Cops detain six after bank robbery

THE ST. Andrew South police yesterday held six men in Cooreville Gardens, St. Andrew, for questioning in relation to last Thursday's $3 million bank robbery at the Bank of Nova Scotia in Oracabessa, St. Mary.

Divisional Detective Inspector Donovan O'connor told The Gleaner yesterday that the men were held during a raid in the community. He said their names were being withheld to protect their identities, as they will be facing an identification parade.

Last Thursday, nine men robbed the BNS Oracabessa branch after entering the bank posing as policemen.
