Trinidad businessmen seek better security after kidnapping
PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad (AP): THE RECENT kidnapping of a gas station owner for ransom has led Trinidad and Tobago's business community to impose their own security measures for their families, a businessman said yesterday.

Bush fattens US farm subsidies
Washington, (Reuters): President George W. Bush signed a six year law boosting US crop and dairy subsidies by 67 per cent on Monday over the protests of US trade partners and possibly swaying this fall's congressional elections.
