Cambio operator killed

Hanover:

ASTLEY BANDOO, a 73-year-old cambio operator of Bay Road district, Little London, Westmoreland was shot and killed in Hanover yesterday morning.

According to Constable Damion Ricketts, CCN liaison officer for Westmoreland, Mr. Bandoo was conducting business (exchanging foreign currency) at about 11:45 at the Rutland Point Craft Market when two men posing as patrons approached him and brandished handguns and attempted to rob him of a bag of money.

A struggle ensued between Mr. Bandoo and the men. Shortly afterwards, explosions were heard and the body of Mr. Bandoo was discovered with gunshot wounds to his face.

The men fled in a green Nissan Sunny motor car, taking the bag of money with them. One 9mm spent shell was found at the scene.
